Plot: A diamond heist reunites retired Horsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, & Dave Franco) illusionists with new performers Charlie (Justice Smith), Bosco (Dominic Sessa), and June (Ariana Greenblatt), as they target dangerous criminals.
The Four Hoursemen Return!
It was absolutely exhilarating to see the original cast reunited on the big screen after nine long years! It’s hard to believe that the second enchanting film premiered in 2016, while the original dazzled audiences back in 2013. I had the unique experience of being an extra in the first movie, which adds a personal layer of connection to these remarkable “magical actors.” As the film began, I was instantly whisked away to my time on set.
The atmosphere was electric as they invited audience members to come up on stage and interact with the cast, mirroring the captivating opening of the previous film. I was thrilled they maintained that joyful momentum and engaging theme throughout. Isla Fisher, the talented actress I admire greatly, shines brightly in this film. She is not only an incredible performer but also a genuinely wonderful person who played a pivotal role in the Four Horsemen.
This film evoked a deep sense of nostalgia within me, and I found myself captivated by the magic it portrayed. In a world often longing for inspiration, the essence of magic reminds us of the beauty of belief and the wonder it can bring back into our lives!

Veronika Vanderberg
I appreciate the choice of Rosamund Pike for the film’s antagonist; her performance brings a compelling dynamic to the story. Her character’s ability to swindle millions, similar to Arthur Tressler’s actions in the first film, leads to a fascinating theme of “magical payback.” It’s interesting to observe how the most powerful individuals often underestimate those around them, only to be caught off guard by unexpected challenges. This theme captures a fundamental aspect of magic: the idea that perception can be deceiving. As the film wisely states, “the closer you look, the less you will actually see.”

Thaddeus Bradley Returns
Morgan Freeman’s role in the film was pivotal in successfully orchestrating the downfall of Ms. Vanderberg. His character not only captivated the audience with mesmerizing magic tricks but also played a key part in unraveling a series of intricate illusions that were central to the plot. What I found most intriguing was the behind-the-scenes look at how these illusions were crafted. Through flashbacks, the film revealed the clever methods and teamwork behind each prank and illusion, showing how they were meticulously planned and executed. What’s compelling is how the film explores the theme of perception versus reality.
Often, things that seem obvious and right in front of our eyes can be deceiving. Thaddeus, a wise and experienced magician, frequently reminded the Horsemen of the importance of questioning what they see. He posed the thought-provoking question: Can you truly see what’s happening, or are you merely falling for an illusion? This philosophical element added depth to the story, challenging the audience to reflect on their own understanding of truth and illusion.

The Work Is Not Yet Done For …
…however, the magic begins now that the third movie has concluded! The film ends in a wonderfully magical way, setting us up for an exciting fourth installment. I’m captivated by the ending and the unexpected characters that grace us with their presence throughout the film. With the casting kept under wraps, we are left in awe as we experience it for ourselves. One thing is certain: they are only just getting started, and I am eager to continue watching their incredible performances! Let the magic begin, for we already know who shall rise to victory!

When I 1st saw this (the 1st one), I didn’t give it the time of day. Until I saw it, I loved it. Immediately sought out the 2nd one. I know I will love this one.
What? I cannot believe that you did not want to give “magic” the actual time of day that it deserves! POOF – ur gone! LOL!
I know, right!! I love all the actors I laughed, & I was wowed. I was young and dumb back then! LOL
Yes, you love all the actor including me, right because even though I was an extra in it, I was still part of the Magic!”
Really? Nice!
Yeah – texted you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope to get to see it soon but first Keeper!!!
I have been hearing some mixed reviews about it. I don’t think that we will see eye-eo-eye on horror films. Whatever I like, you never seem to and vice versa! Case in point, you loved “Good Boy” and I detested that movie! Lol
Oooo a 4th -and here I thought this was going to conclude the trilogy! Looking forward to seeing this!
Yeah, I thought that this would have been the last one too myself – but watching this third film really brought me back to when I was on set for the first original film!
I will have to sit down & watch the first two movies. It looks appealing.
You really should! Grab your daughter and watch – or all ur kids and make a magical moment with them! Ya won’t be disappointed! I never steer people wrong!
