The Crimes of the L.A.P.D.
Is it really possible for a good cop to go bad, or even rogue, in any situation? The short answer is obvious: yes. In this film, Mark Ruffalo’s character is torn between going rogue on his own to solve a mysterious crime, which keeps him on edge and wondering if he will ever be able to catch the perpetrator, and having to do things that are not necessarily legal or law-abiding. To make the world a much safer place for all of us, police officers must sometimes go against the rules and do whatever they believe is necessary to apprehend a criminal. Do you support this type of behavior if it keeps a bad criminal off the streets?
Sharon
Watching Halle Berry’s character in this film brought back harsh and shattering memories for me personally. She was an insurance broker in the film and had been with the company for a long time; I am referring to long tenure and longevity. She had been promised a promotion with an exclusive salary as well as being named partner, and when her boss kept giving her line after line of excuses, she called him out on it by telling him that he said that 6 months ago, and that is what he said such and such a time ago. How long would she be able to continue bringing them clothes and money if she did not receive what was promised to her? How many jobs do these people get away with? Of course, her anger and disgust for the overall situation drove her to engage in behavior that was out of character for her, simply because her full potential was being wasted and was undervalued. How many of us relate to Sharon? I am confident that I can, but the million-dollar question is whether we are allowing those who do not treat us as we should be treated to change us into being like them when we seek vengeance and redemption. Are we giving them power over us?
Crime 101
To put it simply, this film was about choices and the consequences of those choices, regardless of why you make them. Do you want to go all vigil and take the law into your own hands, risking being caught and falling deeper into the abyss of untruth—or do you believe that the law will take too long for you to receive the justice you deserve, and you mix in with some unsavory people for payback, but in the end you are the one left without? Choices. They can be complex and difficult to make at times, but with each decision, you must weigh the pros and cons of the situation and avoid thinking rashly or emotionally.

Even with all the decisions they made in the movie: good, bad, for what they believed to be the right reason -we enjoyed it!
Good answer!! Good answer!!!
Sometimes revenge is sweet …
….IF you do not get caught, of course, right???
