Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael will always be the Jackson 5 in my eyes, as they were the foundation of it all. Among the five brothers, Michael stood out with his heart, love, compassion, and, most importantly, his extraordinary vocals. He aimed to be recognized for greatness, striving to achieve something remarkable and embody greatness itself.
I believe his deep love, generosity, and compassion for others stemmed from his difficult and abusive upbringing, particularly from his father. Michael understood the pain of such treatment and sought to rise above it, choosing not to view people as mere objects but to truly see them and treat them with the respect they deserved, including himself. This desire to break free from his father’s shadow drove him to forge his own path and destiny, despite his fear of his father, whom he found it very hard to say no to, considering the whippings from his father, among other belittling insults, which were totally uncalled for.

A pivotal moment came when he stopped seeking his father’s approval. He became the man his father claimed he could never be and confronted him. I commend him for this courage, as standing up for what you believe is right, especially against a parent, is incredibly challenging. We each have one life to live, and it should be lived on our own terms.
His mother Katherine was the exact opposite of her husband; while she stood dormant to Joe’s abuse of Michael, probably because she already knew Joe would not listen to her, she did not put up a fight against him, but then we see that she stood up to her husband and told him that he was no longer going to beat Michael until he did what he wanted or needed him to do for his own benefits & personal gains. We must always keep in mind that our journey through life is uniquely ours, shaped by our choices and experiences.
Whether influenced by parents, friends, or partners, the essence of living fully lies in prioritizing our own desires and aspirations. It is crucial to embrace the idea that we have one life to lead, and it should be a reflection of our true selves. Therefore, let us strive to make decisions that resonate with our inner values and passions, ensuring that we look back without regrets, having lived authentically and courageously.

Many allegations were made against him, which, in my view, were unfounded and stemmed from a society eager to believe sensationalized narratives rather than the truth.
In today’s world, it seems easier for some to accept negative gossip and lies rather than acknowledge the positive impact someone like Jackson had on the world. His legacy is not just about his music; he was also a dedicated philanthropist and humanitarian. In 1992, he founded the Heal the World Foundation, through which he generously donated millions from his Dangerous World Tour to help children in need and promote global welfare.
Contrary to the damaging stereotypes that have been perpetuated, Michael was not a drug user or a child molester, nor did he alter his appearance out of self-hatred. The pressures of fame often lead to misrepresentation, and the media can twist narratives into something harmful and negative. This unfortunate reality highlights the challenges of being a celebrity, where the truth can be overshadowed by public perception and media sensationalism.
