    1. Haha! I think that this is the FIRST time you’ve ever commented on our website, Sean! Is it? If you posted before, it was months and months ago! Hooray for this post!!!!

      1. I thought it was just ok, not pristine but the gore and bleak ending were my favorite parts. The AI was noticable in the film but not as jarring as the other reviewers lead you to believe.

The movie felt like a less successful Maximum Overdrive, Weapons and Halloween III: Season of the Witch lovechild.

        I’d give it a 5.5/10

  1. Oh wow! I actually enjoyed the movie and followed the story line just fine. Sorry it was a bummer for you.

    1. It’s OK—a lot of people felt the same way that I did about it, though; you win some, and you lose some—it’s totally fine. As long as you enjoyed it, that is ALL that matters to me!

  2. I thought it was OK…but it’s a one and done for me…the more I thought about it, the more it lost the fun element…it seems just gore for gore’s sake…I was truly expecting better, but for what it was…it could have been worse.

    1. I expected this film to be much better than it was. The gore was excessively brutal and looked incredibly fake. To call this one of the summer’s hottest blockbusters is misleading; it was short, sad, and ultimately disappointing.

  3. Coming straight from the mind of Eli Roth, I expected heavy gore. What I actually got was a movie so absurdly stupid that I found myself as the only person in the entire auditorium laughing out loud. Now you’re telling it’s a remake? I just watched the trailer with Clint Howard and both movies are not similar. The acting was bad.. When you finally learn why these kids are turning into psychotic murderers, it feels like Roth just couldn’t think of anything better.
