Plot: A group of friends (Steve Zahn, Paul Rudd, Jack Black, & Thandie Newton) is going through a midlife crisis. They decide to remake a favorite movie from their youth, but encounter unexpected events when they enter the jungle.
The NEW Anaconda
This movie showcased excellent writing and exceeded my initial expectations. I went in expecting a mediocre experience, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much enjoyment I found. The humor was effective, and I found myself laughing throughout the film. Although it shares a loose connection to the 1997 original, I appreciated its focus on action and adventure rather than horror. Overall, it serves as a refreshing and fun take that offers a unique twist on the original premise.

A Great Cast! Indeed!
The film boasted an incredible cast, featuring the likes of Jack Black, Thandie Newton, Paul Rudd, and Steve Zahn—what more could I ask for? Their comedic talents truly brought the movie to life. I can’t even begin to pinpoint my favorite moment; it’s simply too challenging to choose just one! It’s disheartening to see this movie receive such harsh reviews because, in my opinion, it strikes the perfect balance—not too over the top, but rather “just right!”

Long Live The Snake!
Even though this film isn’t technically a remake or reboot of the original, it beautifully pays homage to the 1997 cast, celebrating icons like Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, and Jon Voight. The thoughtful references are woven in so skillfully that they resonate deeply, reminding us of the lasting impact of the original. It’s heartwarming to think that the original cast, watching this film, must have felt a profound sense of appreciation and respect for their legacy!

Watching A Movie Within A Movie
I love film production, and watching a movie that honors a classic while seeing the filmmaking process firsthand was nostalgic for me. I’ve been a background actor on many sets and enjoyed every moment of it. This experience was sentimental, and the laughs were just a great bonus!

Where’s the rest of the review?
Have not written it as of yet. Will be next weekend.
I really enjoyed it! Saw it on Christmas Day!
This was not worth the ticket price I spent. Couple funny moments and tips of the cap to previous movies but it was bland at best. I didnt go into this movie expecting much after seeing the trailer.
I have not yet had the opportunity to view this. I have, however, encountered consistent feedback regarding this particular film.
I actually enjoyed the movie. Not the best of all time, but I found it entertaining. A little corny… but fun.
Yeah – I can see that! I have not yet had the luxury of seeing it for myself as of yet. THIS upcoming Saturday I will though and then will make my assessment of it & follow up with my review. Thanks for letting me know your overall thoughts though. Appreciate it and you!!!
We enjoyed this one very much, and worth seeing too!!
IKR. Why everyone was bashing it …I will NEVER understand!
Yay! You liked it. Basically all laughs until the last act when it becomes a survival action flick. My in-laws recently watched it – and they too enjoyed it.
Yeah! Yes IN deed I enjoyed it! So much!
My son and I enjoyed it. It had some good laughs.
