Plot: After surviving one deadly game, Grace (Samara Weaving) and her sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) must now outrun four rival families competing for a powerful throne—winner takes all!
The Return of Grace LaDomas
Samara Weaving truly embodies her character in this highly anticipated sequel. Her performance is commanding and captivating, drawing the audience’s attention from start to finish. I must admit, I was completely unprepared for the excitement this film would bring until I saw the trailer on the big screen.
This sequel surpasses the original, which was released in 2019. While sequels can often be hit or miss—either improving upon the predecessor or merely replicating its success—this film takes a bold step forward. It is significantly more intense, with heightened gore and thrilling moments that make it a delight to watch.
Blood-Soaked Fun!
Each scene is a whirlwind of adrenaline, bursting with electrifying excitement that pulls me deep into the visceral, blood-soaked chaos unfolding on screen. The film meticulously crafts an immersive experience that ensnares you completely, leaving you gasping for breath and teetering on the edge of your seat, firmly establishing its place as a standout in the genre. I was captivated by the inventive kills and the spectacular explosions that lit up the screen, and the only enhancement I could envision would have been the thrill of experiencing it all in 3D!
Grace & Faith
Kathryn Newton’s portrayal of Faith in this sequel is truly commendable, as she embodies the character of Grace’s younger and estranged sister with depth and nuance. Newton infuses her performance with a delightful sense of humor, which not only lightens the film’s darker moments but also establishes a strong sense of continuity with the original. T
Throughout the harrowing challenges they encounter while navigating the deadly game and the treacherous night, Grace and Faith demonstrate remarkable teamwork. Their sisterly bond, forged through shared struggles and resilience, becomes a pivotal element that drives their determination to survive. This dynamic adds emotional weight to the narrative, making their journey not just a fight for survival but also a poignant exploration of family ties and loyalty.

I really enjoyed this film!
…as did I! I am seeing it again on this weekend! Lol
I dug the movie. Gave more insight into their cult, and it ended with some closure. If they make another, it better be a sequel. I just have to meet Mr. Le Domas and see the birth of this mayhem. 😂
Prequels vs. Sequels – which truly are better?
LOL I meant a prequel on this case. Why re-invent the wheel.
Good idea!
So looking forward to seeing this one too!!!
It was or IS up your bloody alley!!
Togetherness is key, when you truly believe that you have someone in your corner that’s literally ride or die. Anything is possible, and that’s what this review is bringing me, along with the thought that every turn it’s something new or exciting. 😁
Yeah – family first!
I enjoyed this movie and liked the different kills.
As did I along with them …combusting all over the place!
