Plot: A passionate and tumultuous love story set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire moors, exploring the intense and destructive relationship between Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) and Catherine Earnshaw (Margot Robbie).
This Is “Wuthering” Alright …
The term “wuthering” refers to a strong wind or a windy location. “The wind should have carried this film far away. I’m sorry to admit it, but it was brutal and should have been thrown out. I’m guessing that most women or young girls chose to see this film because it is a romantic love story, and they may share a mutual desire for actors Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie, or just Jacob. Who knows? Right? They both did an excellent job portraying their individual characters, but I read this book in high school…who hasn’t? However, all of the licking all over Catherine’s face and mouth was not in the movie that I read, implying that some details of the film had been omitted just slightly. I thought that was a little “over the top.”
Wanting …”the Life”
Of course, we all want a life filled with abundance, passion, desire, and the ability to be self-sufficient and not rely on others for anything. However, in today’s society, we see that people from the middle to lower classes frequently marry or pursue individuals who are financially secure and set for life, allowing them to avoid working or lifting a finger. Personally, I believe that is wrong. No one should marry solely for convenience or to gain an advantage over their companion or mate. Love and marriage should be genuine, not fake or forged. That is what Catherine overlooked; she truly loved Heathcliff, but she realized it too late. If you truly love someone, regardless of their social class or economic standing, be with them for who they are rather than what they have, and this can be applied to today’s world because it is so true.
The Epic Conclusion
Heathcliff and Catherine adored each other, but there was always one stumbling block in their path: the truth. They never admitted their true feelings to each other, despite having numerous opportunities to do so. In life, we must speak up and express how we feel about anything, including love. Nobody has a crystal ball, can read fortunes, or knows how you are feeling. Open and honest communication is the key to any successful relationship, whether personal, romantic, platonic, or otherwise.

Wuthering Heights is a dumpster fire. I can’t believe Warner is selling it as a romantic movie just right for Valentine’s Day. It’s NOT! It’s ugly and depressing.
Agree!
I knew this would be a Sh*t Show!
You were SO right!
I was waiting on your review, but I spent my precious time watching a classic novel
turned into this horrible film yesterday. Watching this film was torture!!!
I am SO sorry that my review was delayed & could not save you! You know that you could have walked out when you saw it was clearly NOT entertaining you? Why stay and suffer?
I knew I didn’t want to see this movie when the first preview was aired. Thanks for confirming that I shouldn’t waste my time.
I’m ALWAYS happy taking hits for the team IF it is something that piques my interest in ANY way possible …
I’ll see it at home. But only because of Margot Robbie. Still, I’ve never seen her in a “shit show” before. That sucks.
Well, there’s a FIRST time for everything!!
Thanks for sharing. Glad I missed it. It’s sad that we still have people in today’s society marrying for the wrong reasons.
No problem. I enjoy reading your refelctions and comments so very much Jay! Really insightful …just like mine!!
