Plot: A new Ghostface Killer emerges in the town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, and her darkest fears are realized when her daughter, Tatum (Isabel May), becomes the next target!
A Ghostface Return of 2 …or Even Maybe 3!
Wow, it has been 3 years since SCREAM 6, and it never gets old seeing Neve in these films. SCREAM isn’t SCREAM without Neve! She does not just make these movies; she IS the movie! I never tire of seeing “more than just one” Ghostface murderer! We all know that multiple Ghostface killers will appear in the film, but only one or two, if not more, will be after the sole survivor, Sidney, and we must investigate why they are always targeting her. Duh. We already know why—she is immortal to them, and they want to be “on top” and have the killer spotlight of the day that they killed the infamous Sidney Prescott-Evans!
Tatum Evans: The Daughter
Tatum was correct in recognizing that her mother tried to shield her from her past and the very traumatic events that she had experienced, aiming to prevent her past from becoming Tatum’s “new normal.” While it is natural for parents to protect their children, withholding such information can leave them unprepared for all future challenges. The line particularly moved me Tatum tells her mother: “I want to be a survivor …like you.” This moment reveals Tatum’s strong admiration for her mother’s strength and her desire to face adversity with resilience. Parents often believe they are acting in their best interests, but sometimes their efforts to protect can unintentionally leave their children vulnerable, as Tatum’s experience demonstrates.
A Blast From The SCREAM Past!
I appreciate that we were brought back to the past SCREAM films with references to people in Sidney’s past, how she became the fearless, unstoppable, and fierce woman that she is today, how Tatum came to be named her birth name, and the reasons as to why that came to be; the STAB movies; all of the references from previous films; what happened to Gail in the last film; Stu Macher; and so much more! All of these fundamental elements from the past 6 films made it that much easier to follow along in this sequel that everyone was hyped for. The film was not “as gory and violent” as I had expected, but nonetheless, it made a killing! That’s for sure!!!

I knew it!! 🔥
Well you KNOWN right, pal! 🔪🔪🔪
I agree, but the FINAL kill shot was – AWESOME!!!
Totally agree with you! That final and MOST epic kill shot was ….BOMB!
Absolutely can’t wait to see this!!
My third time will be tomorrow …actually! Don’t “kill” me for it!!! Lol
I enjoyed the movie. There were parts, like in most horror movies, where you question why a character would do what they did but overall I enjoyed it.
Well, now …THAT is a very interesting take on it! I can concur that I agree with you on that!
This review was great and made me realize how behind I am with the Scream movies!!! I’m gonna have to binge-watch a bunch of them.
Oh my Goodness – have you not yet seen this one?
This movie was absolutely epic in every way. Definitely wasn’t perfect, but who doesn’t love the return of Ghostface? Absolutely amazing.
Agree—a certain element was missing, but I can’t pinpoint what it was, but it was still very entertaining nonetheless, and that Gail—OMG!
Didn’t really like it. But then again, I have never really been a fan of this franchise. Throw in that the whole franchise has been a disaster with Neve demanding more money and all the political bull crap. This movie just stunk and really wasn’t too original. I did like some of the jabs at Neve for skipping the previous movie.
Jabs at Neve? What are you referring to exactly? Are you saying that you liked some of the jabs that Neve gave to Ghostface in the actual movie? I liked it; I mean, I will not say that I loved it, but I was entertained nonetheless by it but agree with you and a lot of others that it could have been better actually.
Throughout the movie they kept mentioning how Sydney never went to New York. Several times.
Oh, yeah—it was not mentioned that much to me. Just twice, if not three times, by Gail, if my memory recalls.
I give it a meh…. it seemed like the ending was thrown together. I have to say I expected more, to be honest!
You – and everyone else!
